You're welcome anytime, but there are five special self guided Trail Events planned throughout the year to enhance your Texas Hill Country Winery experience. In anticipation, wineries will host tastings of newly released wines, and wine and food pairings, seminars, demonstrations and tours. Come and meet the vintners as you tour and taste. Enjoy the Hill Country artists, musicians, crafters, chefs and entertainers of all kinds featured at the wineries during the Trail Events. All the trails are self-guided driving tours to be enjoyed at your leisure. Some wineries charge to taste during ticketed and non-ticketed events. Consult the Winery Info page, or the individual winery websites, for charges. NOTE: Dates of Trail Events vary from year to year so consult our website for exact dates and times. Tickets for events are limited and most events sell out. Trail Event participation does require a ticket (except for the Wine and Wildflower Trail), so register early! Of course, you may still visit and enjoy the wineries during the Trail Events without registering....sample the wines, tour the wineries as available, visit tasting rooms, sip wine on patios and discover the charm of the Texas Wine Country. |

Come spend a romantic weekend (or two) in the stunning Texas Hill Country, sipping and sampling wine and chocolate at the 25 Hill Country wineries. The Wine Lovers Trail is hosted on February 5-7 and 12-14 this year. Being the trail takes place around Valentine’s Day, spending the weekend with a loved one, savoring wine and nibbling on chocolate, there is no better way to show the person you love than by experiencing the occasion together.
Enjoy the self-guided tour for one or both weekends of the Wine Lovers Trail. You can start by collecting your box of pre selected handmade local chocolates at the designated winery of your choice. Then you can take your custom chocolates into each winery where they will be offering a minimum of 1 and up to 3 complimentary tastes of wine for you to pair with.
Four of the finest chocolatiers have been hand-picked right from our beautiful Texas Hill Country backyard: Chocolat in Fredericksburg, Wiseman House Chocolates in Hico, Payton Artisan Chocolates in Round Rock and Fat Turkey Chocolate in Austin. These four companies have created an assortment of chocolates to pair with the vast number of wines crafted at the 25 wineries. Ticket costs for the trail are $35/person and $60/couple. Individual tickets include 1 set of complimentary tastes at each winery and 1 box of chocolate. Couple tickets include 2 sets of complimentary tastes at each winery and 2 boxes of chocolate.

Your ticket includes:
- 1 to 3 (varies by winery) complimentary tastes of wine at each winery.
- One box of chocolates for the singles ticket. Two boxes of chocolate for the couples ticket.
- You will receive a confirmation email with a Texas Hill Country tasting tips page and suggested day trips throughout the trail.
WINE LOVERS TRAIL TERMS AND DISCLOSURE:
- Tickets are non-refundable and the THCW cannot be responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets cannot be exchanged for other event tickets or another weekend event. You may give away or sell your tickets.
- Ticket must be presented at your designated winery for pick up of chocolate.
- Ticket must be presented at each winery to receive your complimentary tasting.
- All prices are plus tax and subject to change.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Valid ID required to taste or purchase wines.
- Winery events are separate from THCW trail, additional fees may apply, please check with individual wineries for fees.
- Pets are not allowed at some wineries, please check with each winery before bringing your pet.
- Groups of 8 or more are recommended to contact the wineries you plan to visit before your trip.
