Upcoming Texas Wine Trail Events

You're welcome anytime, but there are five special Trail Events planned throughout the year to enhance your Hill Country Winery experience. In anticipation, wineries will host tastings of newly released wines, and wine and food pairings, seminars, demonstrations and tours. Come and meet the vintners as you tour and taste. Enjoy the Hill Country artists, musicians, crafters, chefs and entertainers of all kinds featured at the wineries during the Trail Events.

All the trails are self-guided driving tours to be enjoyed at your leisure. Some wineries charge to taste during non-ticketed events. Consult the individual websites for charges.

NOTE: Dates of Trail Events vary from year to year so consult our website for exact dates and times. Tickets for events are limited and most events sell out. Trail Event participation does require a ticket (except for the Wine and Wildflower Trail), so register early! Of course, you may still visit and enjoy the wineries during the Trail Events without registering....sample the wines, tour the wineries as available, visit tasting rooms, sip wine on patios and discover the charm of the Texas Wine Country.
2008 Austin Wine Festival • May 24-26
While not a trail event, The Austin Wine Festival is a uniquely Austin 3-day Texas wine celebration

The Texas Hill Country Wineries have bloomed from a pioneering few, into an internationally awarded and recognized wine region. Now they have created the Austin Wine Festival, the only one of its kind in Texas - now in it's second year!

What's so different about this wine festival being held this year at The Domain?

In addition to the samplings provided by the participating wineries, Austin Wine Festival guests can purchase wine by the glass, bottle and case on the spot!

2008 Harvest Wine Trail • Aug 15-17 & 22-24
The Harvest Wine Trail is "not so ordinary," as most years you'll find the grape harvest underway. You may be able to stomp a few grapes, taste a newly pressed juice or even help with a harvest along the way!

There is exceptional value in this Trail as your $30 per person will guarantee a taste or tasting at each of the 22...yes, 22 wineries on the Trail. Just bring your Printed Trail Registration along when you visit. Each winery will stamp your registration and you may indulge in a taste of Texas wine.

Trail Bonus: Each winery will have a unique drawing package for the Harvest Wine Trail Drawing. Don't forget to register at the individual wineries to be entered for WINE and so much more! There are a limited number of tickets sold and all trails are SELF GUIDED. Harvest Trail takes place Fri-Sun of both weekends giving you 6 whole days to visit your Texas Hill Country Wineries!

Please Note: The Wine Trail brochure that states Harvest Trail is the first two weekends in August is a misprint. We greatly apologize for any inconvience this may have caused.
