You're welcome anytime, but there are five special self guided Trail Events planned throughout the year to enhance your Texas Hill Country Winery experience. In anticipation, wineries will host tastings of newly released wines, and wine and food pairings, seminars, demonstrations and tours. Come and meet the vintners as you tour and taste. Enjoy the Hill Country artists, musicians, crafters, chefs and entertainers of all kinds featured at the wineries during the Trail Events. All the trails are self-guided driving tours to be enjoyed at your leisure. Some wineries charge to taste during ticketed and non-ticketed events. Consult the Winery Info page, or the individual winery websites, for charges. NOTE: Dates of Trail Events vary from year to year so consult our website for exact dates and times. Tickets for events are limited and most events sell out. Trail Event participation does require a ticket (except for the Wine and Wildflower Trail), so register early! Of course, you may still visit and enjoy the wineries during the Trail Events without registering....sample the wines, tour the wineries as available, visit tasting rooms, sip wine on patios and discover the charm of the Texas Wine Country. |

The busiest time of year at the Texas Hill Country Wineries is of course harvest...the busiest time of year for wine events across the state is Texas Wine Month in October. We have always tried to compete with the hundreds of events going on during October by making our Texas Wine Month Trail as fascinating and tempting
as possible, thus making you choose between going to all the fabulous events. This year we have decided to scale down the Texas Wine Month Trail at the Hill Country Wineries...which includes scaling down the price…so you don’t have to choose and can afford to participate in as many fabulous Texas Wine Month events that your
calendar can handle!
Again, there is no need to cram your winery visits into one or two weekends in October. You can use all 31 days to explore, savor and relish in the beauty and excellence of the 27 Texas Hill Country Wineries. There is an endless combination of day trips, even if it’s just visiting one winery a day, for you, your family and
friends to enjoy.
Texas Wine Month is about showcasing the delightful wines of the great state! Each of our 27 member wineries will be offering a minimum of 1 and up to 3 complimentary tastes of wine (winery choice and/or discount may exclude reserves,
ports and wines already discounted). This is an opportunity to discover over 4-dozen award-winning wines throughout the month! Wineries will also be offering a 15% discount on 3 bottle wine purchases (winery choice). Visit the wineries, taste delicious wines, and take home your favorites to enjoy!
Given that the focus of this trail is TEXAS WINE, the trail will also include a trivia hunt. When you purchase your ticket you will print out the questionnaire of 54 questions. Answers can only be found at the wineries. Each winery will have answers to 2 questions: one about the specific winery you are at and the other will be a general Texas or wine question. After the trail, you can send us back your completed questionnaire for the chance to win prizes. 2011 Wine Trail tickets will be awarded to the top 5 people with the most correct answers. (Tie breakers will be the person who visited the most wineries.)

Your ticket includes:
- A minimum of 1 and up to 3 complimentary tastes of wine (winery's choice) at each winery.
- A 15% discount on 3-bottle purchase at each winery (may exclude reserves, ports and wines already discounted)
- Trivia hunt with 2 questions at each winery and the chance to win tickets to a 2011 Wine Trail.
TEXAS WINE MONTH TRAIL TERMS AND DISCLOSURE:
- Tickets are non-refundable and the THCW cannot be responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets cannot be exchanged for other event tickets or another weekend event. You can give them away or sell them.
- All prices are plus tax and subject to change.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Each ticket must be presented at winery to receive tastings and discount.
- Valid ID required to taste or purchase wines.
- Winery events are separate from THCW trail, additional fees may apply, please check with individual wineries for fees.
- Pets are not allowed at some wineries, please check with each winery before bringing your pet.
- For groups larger than 8, MUST contact the wineries before your visit to let them know you are coming and when you will be arriving at least 24 hours in advance. Some wineries will NOT accept groups of more than 8 people.
- Be safe. Please have a Designated Driver for your trail trips.
- Wineries will have trivia answers available from October 1 to October 31.
- Submit your answers via email to thcwtrail@gmail.com by Friday, November 5.
- Winners will be contacted and prizes awarded by Monday, November 15.
