Love is in the air, indulge in a little wine and chocolate.  Come spend a romantic weekend in the stunning Texas Hill Country, sipping and sampling wine and chocolate at the 33 Hill Country wineries.

The Wine Lovers Trail has been extended to 10 full days this year, February 10-19, 2012…the perfect time to celebrate Valentines Day!  So if you can’t make it on the weekend, take some time to come out during the week for a quiet, romantic adventure.  Spend your time with a loved one, discovering the wine and nibbling on the signature chocolates created just for you. 

Enjoy the self-guided tour for one or all 10 days of the Wine Lovers Trail.  You can start by collecting your box of local handmade chocolates at the designated winery of your choice.  With custom chocolates in hand, visit each winery and pair with their complimentary tastes. 

One of the finest chocolatiers has been hand-picked by the wineries.  We have created a box of 10 assorted chocolate creams to pair with both red and white wines crafted at the 33 wineries. 

Ticket costs for the trail are $35/person and $60/couple.  Individual tickets include one set of complimentary tastes at each winery and one box of chocolates.  Couple tickets include two sets of complimentary tastes at each winery and one box of chocolates.  What a great way to remember your Wine Lovers trip than to purchase your favorites wines to take home.  Wineries will offer a 15% discount on three bottle purchases with your ticket.

Your ticket includes:
• A minimum of 1 and up to 3 complimentary tastes of wine per person at each winery
• One box of chocolates per ticket (single and couple) 
• 15% discount on three bottle wine purchases at each winery (winery choice)

WINE LOVERS TRAIL TERMS AND DISCLOSURE:
• Tickets are non-refundable and the THCW cannot be responsible for lost or stolen tickets.  Tickets cannot be exchanged for other event tickets or another weekend event.  You may give away or sell your tickets.
• Ticket must be presented at your designated winery for pick up of chocolate.
• Ticket must be presented at each winery to receive your complimentary tasting.
• All prices are plus tax and subject to change.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Valid ID required to taste or purchase wines.
• Winery events are separate from THCW trail, additional fees may apply, please check with individual wineries for fees.
• Pets are not allowed at some wineries, please check with each winery before bringing your pet.
• Groups of 8 or more are recommended to contact the wineries you plan to visit before your trip.

  Our country setting is a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Bring a picnic and sit by the fountain and enjoy the view.  Fiesta Winery will feature our Chocolate dipped strawberries or our Chcolate Covered Cherries made with our Sweet Dessert Wine Decadencia for every visitor on the wine trail.

• Torre di Pietra Vineyards

  Romance is in the air, and Torre di Pietra is a charming setting for you and your sweetheart to enjoy together. As trail ticketholders you will both enjoy a set of complimentary tastes of our wine or port during your winery visit. While you are here, share a picnic together at a table for two by the fountain in the vineyard. Or, if you prefer, you can relax by a cozy fire. Wine can be purchased by the glass to enjoy with our cheese and chocolates or with other light fare available for sale in the Tasting Room.   Texas Legato will have extended hours during the Wine Lover’s Trail.  We are offering a special price on our Blueberry and Port Chocolates made by Quintessential Chocolates.  What could be better, chocolates and wine in one bite.

• Stone House Vineyard

  Be sure to include Stone House Vineyard on your trail this year.  What could be more romantic than sitting on our patio among the vines, sipping our award-winning wines and nibbling your Cathy’s Chocolates?  We will be pouring complimentary tastes of our Cuddles bubbles, our romantic Sangiovese Rose, and our spicy Claros.  And how about trying a glass of port with your chocolates - a match made in heaven!  Also, if you purchase 3 or more bottles of wine, we will give you a 15% discount.  One thing is certain, love will definitely be in the air at Stone House!

• Sister Creek Vineyards

  The Wine Lovers Wine Trail is a perfect event to enjoy Texas wines with your special Valentine.  With Winter slowly ending there is still a chill in the air; perhaps a tasting of our robust reds will help warm your soul.  Our Cabernet 4-Blend Reserve and Cabernet 5-Blend Vintner’s Collection just won Silver Medals in January, at the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.  Both of these blends are robust with a stair step of rich flavors that will pair wonderfully with your Valentine chocolates.  So stop on by for a visit, tour our winey and enjoy the wines.  Make this a special valentine memory.

  During the Wine Lover’s Trail Pillar Bluff Vineyards will be open a little bit longer.  Open every Friday and Saturday until 6:00 PM each weekend.  Pillar Bluff Vineyards will have a specially selected treat for all the visitors to give you that special feeling on Valentine’s Day.  New releases will be the Double Gold Medal Merlot that is oh so good with dark chocolate.
