Promoting a Thriving Community

Texas Hill Country Wineries (THCW) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting both our member wineries and the exceptional Texas Hill Country wine region. From Austin to Fredericksburg, Lampasas to New Braunfels, we bring together a thriving community of winemakers and wine enthusiasts. Through the creation of spectacular events and unforgettable experiences, our goal is to raise awareness, drive visitors to member wineries, provide industry education and support the next generation with scholarships.

Founded in 1999 by a collective of eight visionary wineries, Texas Hill Country Wineries has flourished into an esteemed association with a membership that has grown exponentially. From 16 to 24, 32 to 42, 50 and now surpassing 60 winery members, we continue to showcase the independent origins of our craft and champion our trailblazing members. Our mission is clear: to shine a spotlight on the remarkable Texas Hill Country AVA and the extraordinary wines it yields.

Committed to Quality

Each of our association wineries has its own personality, terroir and style of winemaking, yet they all share a commitment to quality, hospitality and a fervent passion for their craft. With over 60 unique and visually stunning wineries scattered throughout the Hill Country, there’s someplace new to explore around every bend and an exquisite glass of wine waiting for you through each door.

Supporting the Community

  • Driven by a deep commitment to making a positive impact, THCW recognized the potential for further contribution. In 2015, a visionary decision was made to establish a scholarship fund, with a portion of event ticket sales and profits dedicated to supporting Texas students pursuing degrees in fields related to the wine industry.

  • Since its inception, this initiative has thrived, with nearly $27,000 being awarded over the past few years. This ongoing program serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of talented individuals who will shape the future of the Texas wine industry.

It Takes a Team

At the helm of THCW is a dedicated Board consisting of seven passionate members. Supported by specialized committees including Grower-Winemaker, Marketing, Events, Legislative and Community Outreach, this dynamic team works tirelessly to ensure the success of the association. Their collective, volunteer-efforts pave the way for the creation of remarkable events, the establishment of scholarships, and the realization of numerous initiatives that benefit both association members and the wider community.
